Module Assessments
Updated over 2 weeks ago

At the end of each module, Kyron Studio will generate an assessment section that is meant to assess a learner’s knowledge.

Our assessments are designed to be structured yet flexible, ensuring fairness while allowing learners to express understanding in different ways. The AI’s role is simply to gather responses—it doesn’t give hints or evaluate correctness. Instead, responses are assessed using rubrics that focus on reasoning, evidence use, and clarity, rather than just right-or-wrong answers.

This approach is grounded in Universal Design for Learning by reducing barriers and allowing multiple ways for learners to demonstrate understanding. Our rubrics are built to be clear, adaptable across subjects, and focused on meaningful feedback, so learners can engage with content in ways that make sense to them. ***Note-- we don't currently offer that level of feedback to learners, but, we designed it so that Studio could/should, and the hope is we will be doing this in the future.

We also balance assessment types: discussion questions carry more weight (4 points) because they provide deeper insight, while multiple-choice questions (1 point) offer a straightforward knowledge check. We use this structure in hopes of promoting rigor, fairness, and, of course, we put a strong emphasis on critical thinking.
