The “Chat About an Image” feature allows creators to upload images to guided or reflective conversations that become a part of the chat interaction. Upon uploading the image, a new answer field will be generated, incorporating elements of the image into the context of the correct response to the question. During the chat itself, the AI will refer to the image as part of the conversation. Similarly, the learner can ask questions about the image and include aspects of the image into the discussion.
This feature will further support learners by engaging them with a visual element designed to guide them more deeply in exploring the content at hand. It also allows creators the ability to include content that may not lend itself to a purely text description. These visuals can introduce new and important material that previously would not have been part of the learning experience.
Using the “Chat About an Image” Feature
The “Chat About an Image” feature works for both guided and reflective conversations that our AI generates, and ones that you manually add yourself.
1. Go to a guided or reflective conversation.
2. Scroll to the bottom and upload the image you’d like learners to reference in the “Additional Resources” section.
NOTE: The uploaded image won’t appear in the video preview. The preview only shows our AI avatar reading the question aloud.
To preview the uploaded image, click “Uploaded image.”
3. You will notice that the correct answer field has changed to account for the information in the image.
If you manually added a guided or reflective conversation, you will need to provide the question, but our AI will fill in the correct answer field with relevant information from the image.
“Chat About an Image” Guidelines
Make sure the image you are uploading has a 16:9 aspect ratio (ex: 1920x1080 pixels).
You can upload a variety of different types of images, such as: bar graphs, pie charts, infographics, static images, diagrams, and many more!
The image will only become part of the AI conversation if it is relevant to the question.
If the image is not relevant, the AI will not refer to the image during the conversation. However, students can still ask questions about the image and the AI will know about it and respond accordingly.
