To better collaborate with your colleagues, certain roles can be given to users that allow for different permissions. There are two levels of permissions: at the organization level, and at the lesson level.
Organization User Roles
If you give a user a role at the organization level, they will have access to every lesson in the organization. What they can do in each lesson will depend on the role given.
Content Viewer: Can view all lessons in an organization, but cannot make any edits or comments.
This also includes the ability to preview a lesson.
Content Commenter: Can view and leave comments on all lessons in an organization, but cannot make edits.
This also includes the ability to preview a lesson.
Content Manager: Can edit, publish, delete, and create lessons in the organization.
Organization Manager: Can edit, publish, delete, and create lessons in the organization. They can also manage organization members, integrations, and billing.
Setting a user’s organization role
To set a user’s role within your organization, make sure you have Manager access.
1. Click Settings.
2. Go to the Members tab.
3. Click Add person.
4. Type in the email address of the person you’d like to invite to your organization, and select a role for them.
5. Click Share.
6. You will now see the new member, with their assigned role, on the members page.
If the person you have added has NOT previously logged into Kyron, they will receive an email inviting them to make an account before they can access the assets in an organization.
If the person you have added has previously logged into Kyron and has an account, they will not receive an email notification that they have been added to the organization. They should see the option from the dropdown once they log on.
Asset User Roles
If you give a user a role at the asset level, they will only have access to the assets they have been invited to collaborate in. What they can do in each asset will depend on the role given.
Viewer: Can view assets they have access to, but cannot make any edits or comments.
This also includes the ability to preview an asset.
Commenter: Can view and leave comments on assets they have access to, but cannot make edits.
This also includes the ability to preview an asset.
Manager: Can view, comment, edit, publish, and delete an asset.

2. Click Collaborate at the top.
3. Click Add person.
4. Enter the email address of the person you’d like to invite, and set their access level.
5. Click Share.

If the person you have added has previously logged into Kyron and has an account, they will not receive an email notification that they have been added to the lesson. The lesson should appear in the user’s library.
A few notes on user roles
If someone is an organization editor but only given commenter access on the lesson level, the organization access takes precedence over all lesson access.
Even though you’ve assigned someone as commenter, they will still be able to edit the lesson because that is their organization role.
For existing users within an organization, we are making the following changes:
Org Admin will become Organization Manager
Teacher will become Organization Editor
