Kyron Insights shows instructors how students are learning and engaging across the Kyron assignments in their Canvas course. Use it to spot students who may need support and concepts that need reinforcing.
To open it, select Kyron Insights from the course navigation menu. Only teachers, TAs, and admins can see it. Insights include every student who has started at least one Kyron assignment.
Kyron Insights course overview
Course Overview
The Overview tab summarizes the whole course: Learning signal (how well students are understanding the material, based on their responses in Kyron activities), Engagement signal (how actively students are taking part), Assignment completion (average progress among students who have started), and Assessment score (average score on assignments that include an assessment).
Below the summary, Kyron assignments lists each assignment's progress and signals. Select an assignment to open its own Overview, Misconceptions, and Students tabs, along with its Lesson interactions. Select an interaction to see how students did on that activity.
Misconceptions and Students
The Misconceptions tab lists the misconceptions students expressed across the course. Select one to see which students were tagged with it and whether they completed its review.
The Students tab lists every student with the number of misconceptions tagged, the number of assignments started, and their learning and engagement signals. Use it to find students who may need a check-in.
Students tab
Why it's useful
Kyron Insights helps you move from seeing how students are progressing to understanding where they may need support. Start with the course overview, then use the Misconceptions and Students tabs to decide which topics to reinforce and which students to check in with.
