Within a Kyron Course, there are sections and segments. Sections are groupings of segments, identified by the subheading. One section can include a lecture and one or more interactions. The section titles are what appear in the table of contents and allow you to navigate to different parts of the course.

Segments are individual videos/components of a section. Types of segments include: lectures, questions, multiple choice, and conversations (guided conversation, reflective conversation, assessment).

1. In the Studio editor, click on “Add Section” at the very bottom of the menu on the left hand side.

2. In the pop up that appears, type your desired section name.

NOTE: When you add a section, the default first segment added is “Guided Conversation.” If you’d like this to be different, click the dropdown and choose a segment type from the options that appear.

3. When you’re ready, click “Add Section.”

NOTE: When you add a section with a conversational or multiple choice question, you are only creating the interaction point, NOT the question segment. You will need to add a question segment, which you will see how to do in later steps.

4. Once the section and segment are created, be sure to fill in the text input fields within the segment with the appropriate information.

To delete a section, click on the three vertical dots next to the section title and click "Delete Section."
