Folder Organization

Updated over 2 weeks ago

In your Studio library, you can create folders to organize your assets. The actions available to you depend on your role in your Kyron organization.

  • Organization admin: You will be able to create, rename, move, and delete folders. You can also move assets between folders.

    • Note: Currently, you can only delete empty folders. If a folder contains assets, you cannot delete it.

  • Member (instructor): You will be able to move assets between folders.

You can access folders in two ways: directly in the library view, or by using the dropdown in the left-hand menu and selecting the appropriate folder.

Create folders

1. Click “+ New” > “Folder.”

2. Type in the name you’d like to give your folder, and click “Create folder.”

3. Your new folder will appear in your Studio library, as well as the left-hand menu.

Rename folders

1. Click the three dots next to the folder you wish to rename.

2. Click “Rename.”

3. Type in the new name for your folder and click “Rename.”

4. Your folder’s name will be updated in your Studio library and the left-hand menu.

3. Select the appropriate destination folder, then click “Move.”

4. You will notice that the folder can no longer be viewed in the main Studio library.

5. If you click into the destination folder, you’ll see the moved folder there.

  • You’ll also see this nested structure in the left-hand menu when you expand the library and destination folders.

Delete folders

1. Click on the three dots next to the folder you’d like to delete. From the drop down, select “Delete.”

2. Click “Confirm” in the pop up.

3. The folder will no longer be present in your Studio Library.

Note: Currently, you can only delete empty folders. If a folder contains assets, you will not be able to delete it.

  • The “Delete” function will not be clickable.

Create an asset within a folder

2. Create a new learning asset.
