Activity Type - Video

Updated over a week ago

Videos are visually engaging videos designed to deliver information to the learner. Our AI generates multi-scene videos (MSVs) that make content more dynamic and engaging, utilizing a combination of images and static, text-based scenes.

  • Note: The default for videos is multi-scene videos. However, if you chose to generate single-scene videos during the initial asset creation process, you will only see one scene.

    • Learn more about single-scene videos here.

The transcript is automatically transformed into a scene-by-scene video. Each scene pairs text with carefully selected visuals that match the narration, creating the effect of an animated, story-like presentation.

Initial Generation with MSV

Images

When your lesson or video activity first generates, you will see a preview of your scenes if you scroll down.

For scenes that contain an image, you will see a placeholder image.

To generate the actual image for review, hover over the video preview and click the edit icon.

In the pop-up, scroll down to generate the image.

After a few moments, the image will appear.

Click Save, and the image will load in the video preview.

Transcript

The full transcript will be viewable and copyable, but cannot be edited. In order to make edits to the transcript, you must edit the narration of the individual scenes.

Edit scenes

1. Smart Regenerate

Our AI can help you regenerate a scene’s visuals based on the current layout and narration.

For existing scenes with text, our AI will regenerate the title and bullet points (if applicable). Simply click the stars icon and click Confirm.

For newly added scenes, use Smart Regenerate to help generate the content and visuals for your new scene based on your narration transcript.

2. Edit the narration.

You can edit the narration in each individual scene. It is highly recommended you make any desired edits before assembling the final video. If you make any edits after you have already assembled your video, you will need to do it once more to create the most updated version of your video.

There are two ways to make edits to the narration.

1. Make any desired edits yourself by editing the narration text field. Any changes you make will be automatically saved when you click out of the box.

2. Use our Easy Edit features to simplify, condense, or expand the existing text. You can also provide custom instructions for our AI on how to edit the text.

3. Edit the components of a scene’s video.

To do so, hover over the video preview and click the Edit icon that appears.

  • Note: In the screenshot below, the image for this scene has not been generated yet. That is why there is a placeholder image of mountains.

Be sure to click Save in the bottom right corner if you make any changes.

  • If you choose to upload your own image from your existing files, make sure it follows these specifications:

    • File size is no larger than 250 MB.

    • Image dimensions are 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Single-scene Videos

If you elected to generate single-scene videos during the initial asset creation process, you will see one scene with the entire transcript underneath. This transcript is editable.

The default is to have an image that accompanies the narration. If you’d like, you can change the scene layout.

If you decide you’d prefer to split the lecture into multiple scenes, you can add additional scenes at any time. Please note that you’ll need to break up the transcript where appropriate. You can simply copy and paste the text into the new scenes.
