When you are in the Studio editor, you have the ability to change certain settings in your asset. To access these options, click “Settings” in the upper right hand corner.
General settings
This is where you can edit the asset title, description, and upload a cover image for your asset course.
If you wish to replace the cover image, make sure you are uploading a png or jpeg file. PDFs are not accepted at this time.
You can also delete your asset on this page.
If you make any changes on this page, be sure to click Save on the bottom right hand corner to save your changes.
Voice
On this page, you can change the voice of the AI tutor used in the interaction segments.
NOTE: The interaction voice is separate from the AI Avatar voice. The avatar voice cannot be changed.
The default voice for the AI Interaction segments is “Whisker.” You will notice that the button on the right says “In Use.”
You are able to preview each voice by clicking the play button. Once you decide on which voice you want for your course, simply click on “Apply.”
A pop up will then appear on the page alerting you that you are about to change the AI’s voice, and that all videos will be regenerated.
You will need to click “Confirm” on the bottom right corner.
A green banner will appear in the bottom left corner to let you know the voice has been updated.
Misconceptions
A list of misconceptions will automatically be generated for any asset you create.
Once learners begin taking the asset, you will be able to see which misconception(s) they are having trouble with in Analytics.
Read this article for more information on Analytics.
Learning Context
Under “Learning Context,” you will be able to view all of the details of your asset, including the audience, learning objectives, essential questions, enduring understandings, and the uploaded content that was used (if applicable).
Essential questions are prompts that Studio provides to facilitate deeper exploration and discussions on the asset’s topic. You might take one of these questions to facilitate a live discussion, or even use it to create another Studio lesson to dive deeper into the topic.
Enduring understandings are core insights or concepts that the asset is designed to instill for long-term retention. This allows you, as the educator, to better support your students’ learning journey and ensure that these important ideas stick with them long after the asset ends.
Key Terms
When your asset is created, our AI will generate a list of essential key terms that are related to the topic and create their definitions. About 10-20 key terms will be automatically identified.
From here, you can:
Delete terms
Add new terms
Edit the AI-generated definitions
Edits to definitions will automatically be saved when you click out of the text box.
These key terms can be viewed by learners in the transcript. They will be underlined with a dotted line. Learners can hover over the underlined terms and a definition will appear to support their learning of the content in the module.
Theme
Under “Theme,” you will be able to upload your own background to use in your asset’s videos, and change the AI avatar.
Generated Avatar Slide Background
If you would like to add your image with your institution’s logo and/or colors, you can upload an image of that here. This image will appear for all generated avatar slides. Be sure to follow the specifications regarding file type and resolution when uploading your image.
HELPFUL TIPS!
If you’d like to upload your institution’s branding, do this BEFORE generating the videos in your course, as you’ll be able to generate all the videos at one time from the “Export” section.
If you upload your branding after you have already generated your videos, you will need to generate them again. However, this time, you will need to individually regenerate the videos. The bulk generation option will not be available.
You can also upload your institution’s branding in your organization settings so all your assets have the same background.
If your background uses a light color, we recommend changing the text color to black. See below for more information.
Experimental feature
Our default text color is white. If you’ve uploaded your own slide background, the white text may not always provide enough contrast. To improve visibility, you can switch the text color from white to black so it stands out more clearly against your background.
Avatar
You are able to change the avatar that appears in your asset. The default avatar will be Jasmine, who is shown below.
When you change your asset’s avatar, this will change the avatar for the entire asset.
Currently, you are not able to have specific avatars for individual segments.
Read this article for information on why Kyron Learning uses avatars, and how you will see them throughout your asset.
