When you are ready to deploy your course, there are three things you need to do:
Generate all the videos.
Publish.
Export and share your course.
Generate videos
To generate the videos in your asset, follow these steps:
1. Click “Export” in the upper right corner.
2. Click “Generate Missing Videos” to generate all the missing videos in your course.
Note: This process will take several minutes to complete.
Once all your videos have been generated, the video preview will be replaced with the generated video.
Notice how the note stating “This is a preview of the video that will be generated” is no longer at the top of the video screen.
Publish Your Asset
Once all your videos have been generated, it is time to publish your asset. Click “Export” again and click “Publish.”
If you need to make any changes to your asset, be sure to republish after you are done.
NOTE: When you republish an asset, only new users will see the latest published version.
If a learner started the lesson before changes were made and the asset was republished, they will continue to see the original content unless they restart the lesson.
The lesson will not automatically restart if changes were made, and the asset was republished.
Editing and Republishing
You are free to make changes to your asset after publishing. You will just need to make sure to republish your lesson by going to the Export option.
Note: When you republish a lesson, Kyron will automatically push the changes published to every lesson that is started from the beginning.
Changes made will not affect any lessons that are currently in progress.
This means that if a learner has already begun a lesson before changes were made, they would still be on the previously published version of the lesson.
In order to see the most updated version of the lesson, learners would need to restart the lesson.
Export and Deploy Your Asset
After publishing your asset, you will be able to export and deploy it to learners. Kyron Studio supports four paths for deploying a course:
1. Link - Copy and paste this link wherever your learners will see it.
2. LTI (Learning Tool Interoperability) - Use this LTI link to integrate with your LMS.
NOTE: An admin of the LTI-enabled platform must first create the connection between Kyron Studio and the LTI-enabled platform. More information on this process can be found in this article.
If LTI has not been enabled yet, you will be prompted to connect an LMS before you can deploy to learners via LTI.
If LTI has been enabled, you’ll be able to see your connected LMS’.
